Sprinkle on generous amounts of Bicarbonate of Soda (Sodium Bacarbonate). Leave for about 24hours and then vacuum up.
If smell is particularly bad, may need to repeat process.
Tried and tested several times.

For these kind of smell´s it´s best using , Milton, or any other kind of sterilising solution, used for cleaning new born baby´s bottles.
Wash with Dettol (Not the smelly brown one but the fresh smelling purple one - Dettol Anti-Bacterial Disinfectant – Fresh Fragrance).
