Do you put disposable containers through the dishwasher?

Question:I just feel bad throwing them out oafter using them once.

How about bottled water? I've never done that but I have thought of it so that I can reuse it a few times. Those rubbermaid bottles are supposed to be reused always give the water a bad taste.

Answers:
I wash water bottles all the time in the dishwasher. Remove the labels as they will come off in the dishwasher. I put the lids in a small enclosed basket or utensil basket.

Same for butter tubs, etc... Some hold up better than others, but most things are made dishwasher safe.

maybe the bottles of water. I've never personally done it. but if they are nice and thick then you might try it. if they are just aquafina or something like that i wouldn't waste your time. i would throw them away.
Yes you can use the containers over again. They go thru the dishwasher with no problem. As for bottled water. After you drink the water, fill the bottle half way and add 3 drops of bleach. Swish it around and dump it. Refill and refridgerate.
