How do i clean my flat stoufe (electric) as it has marks that wont come off w/ steel pads?

Question:the prior owner of the house was a cook...and u can tell w/ all those stoufe marks that I cant get rid of. I dont want to strach the sourface either...so not sure what to use.

If you tried steel wool you likely already scratched it.
You can try a bit of baking soda (NOT baking powder) on a soft cloth slightly moistened and really scrub. If the surface finish is scratched, there isn't much you can do about it.
