How can I soften my itchy linen pants?

Question:They are new, but really itchy. Any tips?

Wash them and use a fabric softener. The more you wash them the softer they will become. I wear a lot of linen and love it.

Been there--try wearing panty hose under them and see if that helps or even heavier hose. The fabric will always be itchy. They should say dry clean only---true story, they will be way ugly if you wash them.
