You can & I have, & successfully, I might add. My 'fridge is textured & it worked great on it.
Great question, made both of us think. UM. Can you find an old frig to try it on? We have a new one and it has textured doors. I'd like to know, cuz I could put a groc. list on it!!

what type of fridge? hopeful not wood.. but u should try on the bottem of the fridge where no one would look to see if it would come off
Yes, but you need to make sure to clean it regularly with a half rubbing alchohol half water solution regularly. The dry-erase will mostly come off, but some won't. If you let it stay too long, it will become permanent. Use this solution about once a week, and it'll take all the marker off.
My husband says when he was in school, they did it on a textured fridge, and not all of it would come off afterwards.
