Does anyone know how to clean pergo floors?

Question:I need to know what NOT to use, and also what is the correct treatment inorder to clean my pergo flooring.

Answers:
damp mop, like a hardwood floor, with a swiffer or something like that

Do NOT get it wet!! The joints will disolve, the planks, ( made of high density particle board), will swell, buckle, and be ruined!! I would try old fasioned getting on the hands and knees, and using lemmon oil or small ammounts of pinesol and a small ammount of water, and immediately dry very well. I highly recomend waxing a new, fake floor, or a real floor, generously, to seal the floor from water damage.
Get yourself a bucket with some warm water and add Murphys oil soap. Clean it with a barely damp mop or by hand with a barely damp cloth. You can use this soap and water to clean them, just dotn do it too often. Do not use anything else on these floors, they are the most fragile of the wood floors. You can, however, use a wood floor cleaner, just nothing you have to pour on and then wipe off. Orange glo makes a good one, just get it on your mop or cloth and clean it. It will make it shine brilliantly and help seal out and moisture and dirt. But you must clean it first, dont use that stuff on a drty floor.

Good luck!
