How much will my hoodie shrink?
Question:The body is a cotton/polyester blend 77%/23% and the hood itself is 100% cotton. It is a zip-up hoodie by Abercrombie. Will it shrink much? How can I minimize shrinking? Also, how can I minimize the zipper in the middle getting "wavy" after putting it in the washer?

Wash cold on gentle (clothes shrink in the washer and "set" in the dryer). Wash with the zipper zipped up and lay flat to dry. Give it a gentle re-stretching when it comes out of the washer.

Minimize shrinking by staying out of the clod water.
If you wash it in hot water it will for sure shrink.
You need to wash it in cold water and then either air or tumble dry it. Do not dry it in a hot dryer either or else that will shrink it too.
All cotton shrinks but the polyester will help to minimize that a bit. Wash in cold when/if possible. Don't put it in to the dryer and try to lay the sweater out flat on towels (or something absorbent) to dry. Don't hanger dry or you'll end up with hanger shoulders.
I would suggest washing it on the gentle cycle, in cold water. And then hanging it to dry.
