How can you get permenant marker off a white board like the one's in a school??
Question:The marker is dark green so anything that will get any dark colors off the whiteboard will be awesome!

Hair spray: blot, hit again.
Windex it off.
To get permanent marker off, use either alcohol, nail polish remover, or toothpaste.
I would try Windex first. If that doesn;t do it then use straight household alcohol.
Write over the marker with a 'Dry Erase' marker and it will wipe right off! (Any color works)
Chances are good that youre stuck with it. I am assuming you mean that you used a permanent marker on a dry erase board? The problem with those is that anything you will use to take it off may damage the finsh on the board. I have done this myself with Windex and vinegar.

Write over permanent ink.

Start with rubbing alcohol- its the least likely to damage the surface.
Acetone will dissolve the ink, but my harm the surface of the whiteboard.
Another trick is to use a whiteboard marker... color over the ink and then wipe away immediately.

There is a product you can buy. But as a teacher...we cant afford it...so try going over the pen mark with a dry erase marker...black is the best.color right over the permenant marker and then erase as normal. do it a few times if necessary.
Try a little gasoline on a cloth.. should work.

You might try some gun cleaner. There are two common types.one that has an active ingredient called 1,1,1 trichloroethylene. This is a very good solvent and will probably remove the permanent marker. You can buy this cleaner in the sporting goods section of wally world or in any sporting goods store.
I was able to remove black marker with alcohol.
Where a mask and use oil-based solvent.
If none of the suggestion work try WD40.
