How can I clean my carpet?
Question:Things have spilled on my carpet over the past several months, and for some reason never cleaned up. We don't have enough money to get our carpet professionally cleaned, and we dont have a vacuum (I sweep the carpets, it works out fine). Any suggestions about how I might clean it all up with out paying an arm and a leg?? Thanks! ~Tracey

Buy some foaming carpet cleaner, spray carpet , run a damp mop over it ,let dry, sweep.=)
buy a small bissell , machine it will clean anything
The best options for you are a Steam Vac, which you can purchase rather cheaply at any department store. In the long run, it will save you lots of money because you can clean your carpets yourself.
If you refuse to buy a vacuum cleaner, I suggest filling a bucket halfway with hot water, 1/2 cup of bleach and 1/2 cup of carpet cleaning solution. Then use a handled scrub brush, and generously scrub the entire carpet in a circular motion. This takes a long time, but it is extremely efficient. However, I would not suggest doing this more than once every 6 months or more.
This is why you should have a good vacuum cleaner, and also spot clean EVERY TIME you have or see a spill, a spot, or a stain. Vacuums also help to keep the carpet cleaner longer, and to last longer.
Good luck to you!
