Does anyone know if Magnetic type balls in your laundry can clean?

Question:There is a product out there that says it can replace your
detergent in your laundry. It is essetially 2 plastic balls
that are made of magnets in them. They say the magnetic
balls, when placed in y our water laundry can replace the
detergent and get your clothes clean without any detergent!
I met one lady who says they work! I would like to hear
from more people who have actually used this product!
I cannot remember the name, but you see this product
at shows like the CNE or flea markets! They say the
2 magnetic balls change the polariaty of the water allowing
it to do most of the cleaning. I am still skeptical of
spending $60 for 2 or 3 such balls!
