My Dad gave us the soap & told us to soap our own mouths if we cussed or talked back. We did not get to rinse with water afterwards either.

That is now classed as child abuse and assault - tell her nicely that it is considered assault and child abuse and ask her to stop doing it. Tell your teacher and other responsible adults around you. As much as you may love her - if she does it again report her. Such abuse will only get worse and more violent as you grow older.

I never got soaped,nor did my children. I always got slapped in the mouth. Nothing too serious, just a quick little tap. It smarted for awhile but it worked. Hurt my feelings more than anything.
