Is washing you clothes in vinegar and cold water on the first time the only way to keep them from fading?

Always wash them in cold water, and hang or lay flat to dry (no dryer) will also help them retain their color longer.
THAT WILL DO IT..ONLY THING I KNOW OF TO REALLY SET THE COLOR
You can also use salt and cold water.
