Permanent marker?

Does anyone know a way to get out permanenet black maker off the top of our desk?

Hairspray works great! Good luck! Oh, and Mr.Clean Magic Eraser works great also.
Well If your desk is not varnished, put a little bit of hairspray directly onto mark then rub it off.
Mr.Clean makes a white sponge that erases off any mark on any surface.Its magic!

i know this works on a white baord - go over it with a dry white marker and rub it off
