I recently washed a pair of pants with an ink pen in it. Can anyone tell me how to get the ink out of them?
Question:I didn't notice that the pen was there until after they were dried, I have tried washing them again but the stain didn't fade at all. Any help will be appreciated, these are fairly new pants and I don't want to have to go buy a new pair if I don't have to.

This should really be done when the stain is fresh, but it might be worth a try:
Dab the stain with a clean wet sponge until no ink is lifted from stain.
Allow the stain to air dry.
Spray the stain with hair spray.
Sandwich the stained fabric between two paper towels.
Blot the backside of the stained fabric, working the stain into the other paper towel until stain is lifted.
Apply laundry pre-treatment (I use Simple Green - can be bought at Walmart)
Wash in warm water and allow to air dry.
Try putting hairspray and Greased Lightening on it and washing them again. If that doesn't get it out I don't know what will.
i dont know if this will work since you have already washed and set the stain, but i have used hair spray on a fresh ink stain. rub it in then blot up the excess moisture before washing. it's worth a try.
Since you have already dried them, that stain will be tougher to remove. You can try Oxy clean, it's safer than bleach. You can use the powder or the stain removing spray, they are both safe to use directly on your clothing.Good luck.
