How do you get oil paint stains off the seats in a car?

Question:i accidently got oil paint in my mom's van in the seats, three of them actually and now my mom's mad, it won't come off no matter how much i scrub and it's bright purple too! please help me!

Answers:
After opening all the doors, use oil paint thinner on a rag to wipe the oil paint. If it doesn't come up with a swift wipe, you may need to rub it in onto the stained area.

Do not breathe the rag too much, you may get sick from it.

Make sure to run a test on part of a seat that is not visible to check for colorfastness, so you don't end up having a big blur on the seat.

Oil paint will not come out. You may lighten it some with thinner on a rag. But then the car will have that strong chemical smell. It may be time for seat covers.
Sorry,
Try using turpentine to get the paint off and then use an upholstery cleaning fluid to clean out the turpentine. Then you might try spraying the car with febreeze to help take away the turpentine smell. Don't use a lot of turpentine...just try small amounts on a cloth to clean the paint off. Be sure to leave the windows and doors of the car open while you clean it and don't breathe in the fumes.
