Try some acetone, easily found in nail polish remover. Also kerosene or gasoline, but be very careful with those. They do sell adhesive remover at stores. I have used baby oil to remove tape residue from my skin.
I've been succesful with baby oil on a cotton ball. Tear away as much of the paper as you can, then rub the remaining glue with the cotton ball dipped in baby oil. You can also try nail polish remover but that's a bit harsh depending on the surface you're removing the sticker from.
If it's on a hard surface, not clothing, rub olive oil over it till it wipes off.
When I was going to college, I worked part time at a video store. I would always use lighter fluid to remove the stickers from the videos that my boss ordered. It worked great.
