How do you get brake dust out of clothes?

Question:I was jumping out of the back of a truck and fell against the tire and got brake dust from the tire all over the back of my clothes. The sad news is that it was one of my favorite shirts and I need to know if there is a way to get it out.

I work on cars and found the best thing to get grease and stuff out of your clothes is to spray the spot with "simple green". I've been using it in my laundry for over 10 years.
