What's a good home made cleaning thing?

Question:Hey guys. My bathtub/shower has grime all over it. It's disgusting and it's like brownish yellowish color. Do you guys know of any cleaner that's very strong I can make at home to solve this issue cause I am doing a big bathroom cleaning!

Answers:
I had that problem too in addition to moulds which is why I am now taking allergy shots and had to have my bathroom gutted. The brownish yellow stuff is the bacteria which thrives on moisture and could become mould.

Spraying it with a solution of 1 part bleach to 3 parts water and I usually add about approx 2 tbsp of detergent. Use a more concentrated solution on stubborn spots.

Make sure room is well ventilated, wear a mask or wrap a hanky around your nose and spray. Let sit for a while then brush with an old toothbruh for in between the tiles and a good scotch srcubbing pad for the walls. Be sure to wear gloves. Rinse well. To maintain, rinse the walls after a shower and use a squeege on the walls. I usually spray a little Pine sol (Gives that clean smell!!) mixed to water in another spray bottle.

If your grout is unusually dark and hard to clean, it might be time to replace it. When my bathroom was done, I learned that grout now comes in different colours and also silicone which is easy to clean. Grime and scumm just easily washes off!!

Hope this helps

try baking soda and vinegar and come by my house to clean mine while your at it-hehe ☻
Try soft scrub, if that doesn't work try brillos.
I wouldn't recommend it, but my shower gets so dirty (my husband is covered when he comes home from work) I use oven cleaner!
Abrasive cleaners- like Jif, or even better, bicarbonate soda mixed with lemon juice. Cleans the scum right off, and is pretty safe for drains etc too. Mix it to a runny paste, then apply with a cloth and go for it. you can rinse it off with water.
baking soda and dishwashing soap
try cream of tartar and water
I'm not sure if your into the organic cleaning products, but it sounds like you are.

I think those are great products, but in this case, it won;t work.

You need strong products to get those stains out.

I would use Soft Scrub with bleach, or Comet with Bleach.

Just squirt the product all over your tub, and with a moist sponge, scrub everything. Then rinse.

It should work, and after you rinse, there will provbably be some left-over spots, just do the same process.

I would even spray a Bleach product and let it sit before even starting to scrub. Clorox Clean-up or Lysol with Bleach..any of those will work fine.

PS - Make sure you ventilate your room, the smell will be strong!
Ajax cleanser with warm water and a good green scrubbie...rinse well after! It works really good!
Fill the bathtub with hot water and 2 cups of dry powdered OxiClean. Stir well, until OxiClean is dissolved. Let soak over night.
If you have heavy grime and it's brownish/yellow, I would first fill up the tub with hot water and put clorox in it. Leave it in overnight for all the gunk to loosen up. Drain the water the next day, use soft scrub and scrub your tub. After it's clean, you can use homemade cleaner. My favorite is baking soda and vinegar. One part vinegar and one part water is great for mirror and window clean ups too.
