How can I remove mold from leather boots?
Question:I live in the south with lots of humidity, mold on leather is fairly common, but what is the best way to remove it with out hurting the leather?
Answers:
a little bleach mix would do it
leather shoes should be aired and dried after brushing off mold. Make a mixture of 1 cup denatured alcohol and 1 cup water. Dip a cloth in this mixture and wring it out. Rub mildew spots gently. Dry well. You can also use saddle soap. Dry and air well before storing.
Wipe them with a rag dampened with bleach water.
Put them outside in the sun a while that will dry up the mold..you could try a LITTLE bleach diluted in water ...or they do sell leather cleaner or soap at leather stores.
