Is it OK to put tennis shoes in the washing machine?
Question:I am not worried about the shoes, I am concerned about damaging the washing machine.
Answers:
Yes it is perfectly safe to put tennis shoes in the washing machine.
Shoes are made out of even tougher materials and fabric then most articles of clothing. They will be fine themselves in the machine, however will be damp for a while afterwards. If you stuff them with paper towels after washing, it will aid the dry time.
As far as the washing machine goes, I have never heard of a case of a washing machine being damaged when washing shoes. They are also made out of metal, and quite durable.
When and if you do wash them, you may hear a bit of clanking while the machine spins, which is perfectly normal, shoes just dont give as much as clothes and blankets do, so they hit the barrel's walls harder. It's even worse if you put them in the dryer, but again, although somewhat alarming, it is perfectly fine ofr both the shoes and machines.
I do it all the time with my tennis shoes, and my Converse.
Hope that helps =)
YES

It should be
Yes it's perfectly ok.
Why wash them? if the outside of the sneaker is dirty just wipe it down. If they stink, its time for some new ones. I would never put my kicks in the wash, I keep em fresh. Bur the work shoes i do, washer fine, its the dryer that might get hurt.
My son is a shoe FREAK. And if this was a problem he would so be barefoot. He washes them ALLLL THE TIME. ...dries them too. ;). (now that's the annoying part)
top load yes, front load no (too noisy). leather tennis shoes no. drying washing machine no.
I have never had a problem putting tennis shoes in the washing machine. The washing machine is OK so are the shoes.
My dad has always done it and it did not hurt our washing machine or the shoes.
That's how I wash mine. Use cold water, on delicate. You might have to reshape them a little afterward. Then I hang them on the line to dry.Bye
co dont do it it may damage the shoes and cause them to be defective. the best thing to do is hand wash
Yeah it's definitely ok for the machine. Just make sure to take the laces out, and put it on the gentle cycle. To avoid the noise of the dryer, you can also buy a cheap shoe dryer stand that plugs in and can dry them nicely overnight.
make sure the washer is balanced. air dry the shoes.
yes, it is okey but the dirt of the shoes cannot be totally washed out not like if you brushed it out manually
Yes it is ok. I put maybe a couple of old towels in with the shoes.
