What is the best way to safely sanitize my dishwater?
Question:I have used bleach in the past but I now have a toddler and worry about it being unsafe. I have also used store bought peroxide but I am unsure of its effectiveness.
Answers:
I have found some amazing products that are nontoxic and safe for everyone(kids/pets/everyone) They are awsome!! I love how they clean and disinfect too. I have 2kids, 2dogs and always cleaning those mysterious spots. If you'd like to know where I buy them from click my avatar and email. I buy them online, they're delivered to my door.I love it!
Good luck!!
Bleach
Use white vinegar in the soap dispenser. Run empty load.
While your little one is sleeping, yeah I know, wipe it down , the dishwasher not the sleeping toddler, with baking soda and wam water. This will sanitize and deodorize the dishwasher and is very safe.
It will clean the dishwasher drain as well when you run the next load of dishes.
Good luck
Sears told me never use bleach because it can dry out the rubber seal.( I do on occasion anyways.) He said to use 1 cup of vinegar and run the dishwasher on a china setting if you have one w/o dishes. Repeat monthly.
Bleach is a safe sanitizer and the most affective against germs like norovirus. One cap full to a sink of water should do it. After washing and rinsing let your dishes soak in your bleach water solution for about 1 minute. That should do it.
