Greasy/Sticky Pans?
Question:I have a good set of pans that i have been using for over a year now. In that time the outsides of the pans have developed a greasy/sticky film on them. I scrub thoroughly but no matter what i do they still feel sticky after drying them. Any ideas as to how i can clean them without damaging the pan?

I'm partial to Dawn Dishliquid, the grease blasting foam. Plus letting them soak, live overnight if you can, in water sudsy with Dawn seems to get everything for me. Good Luck.
Use a product called "simply green" you will be amazed and it will not damage your pans
You can use simple green but it leaves a residue on your pans. What I have found works I boil water with dish soap and pour into the sink and soak the pots and pans this has worked wonders for me.
Dawn dishwashing liquid makes a spray for that, I cannot think of the exact name, but it works really well. It will get all the stuff off the bottom too and look like new. Check your Wal Mart or Grocery Store, it should be with the dishwashing liquid.
I get the same things on my cookware, especially my electric skillet which cannot be soaked. I use S.O.S. pads to scrub the gunk off. They work great and I've never had any of my pans get damaged.
Dawn dishwashing liquid.
