The best way to remove gum is to freeze it
Goo be gone is your last option.
Since the couch is leather I recommend using oil to break down the "gumminess" and remove the gum. I have no idea how to get out the chewing gum stain in your clothes now that you have washed it so many times, good luck with that! By the way.why are you so crazy with your gum?
steam usually works well ... if you dont have a steamer jus set your iron to steam and use that ... should come right off ... good luck
yeh, if you boil th kettle and let it cool for about 5 minutes, then put the water on the sponge with a little detergent. All that is now left to do is scrub...
You probably made the stain with your cleaning solvents...
Gum comes off of leather easily... use ice. The gum gets hard. Flex the leather and the gum pops off.
If you used cleaning solvents... you ruin the leather.
Try putting an ice cube on it this will make it brittle and should then just pick off
Everyone will probably advise that u use an ice cube, just gently rub it on the area.
Throw you leather sofa to the curb, furniture is a hinderance to your salvation.
normally you freeze it but seeing as it is on a leather sofa that isn't going to be too easy.
I have seen this work: put brown paper over it and then iron over the paper.
Off of the sofa try something like oops in a corner to see if it will stain. The shirt, if it is white bleach it, if not, it is probably ruined.
To completely remove the chewing gum use kerosene oil. This is the best way to remove the chewing gum from any surface, even from somebody's hair.
It will completely remove the stains it no time or you can use some dipentane(solvent)to remove tha stain.Dipentane is the best stain remover.U can get it from a paint selling shop.
Hold an icecube with a cloth and hold it over the gum on your sofa. Then, when the gum is hardened, simply chip bits of it away with a fingernail or something similar. It may take a while but you'll be pleased with the results.
Use a ice cube to harden the gum then break it off gently, an old toothbrush and soapy water should get the rest off but rub gently. With your clothes, try a good fabric spray directly on the stain 5 minutes before you place the garment into the washing machine. Have a good day.
Use ice!
use ice cubes
I agree with whoever said use something oil based. Try dabbing a little bit of cooking oil on a sponge and the gum should come right off. Oil won't harm your leather sofa. Gum is a pain. I've had to ban my youngest daughter from it, she used to get it everywhere!
The Sofa, the colder you get chewing gum ..ice cubes. It will break away . just keep ice on it & chip it off . as for the stain gum left in your clothes...if they haven't been in the dryer spray & wash or peroxide from the bottle may help. if clothes been dried.I will be almost impossible as dryers tend to "set" the stains.
I agree with the "goo gone". For leather, I would try that one first. Freezing it would make it hard and then you will have to scratch and chizzle it off. As for the stain from removing the gum from clothing, i found and learned something new and interesting....http://home.howstuffworks.com/how-to-rem...
. There are many different "goo gone" products. Here is the site to see for yourself...
Whatever you do DON'T try to yank it off the leather suite. I did this yesterday on my brand new (very expensive) settee and yes, it pulled the top layer of leather off with it!! Got a nice bald patch now! If I were you I'd try to soak it off by placing a wet, warm cloth over the gum, leave to soak and VERY slowly and gradually rub it away. Don't know about your clothes, try some stain devil. Good luck xx
ice x
ice ice baby
just freeze the chewy with the ice and then when its rock hard pick it off! no probs xx
place an ice cube on it till it goes hard as rock then peel off,
rub stain if any with a little milk and then clean with damp cloth.
Freeze it, then it breaks up to remove
