Can anyone advise how to make shrinked woolen jumper the size it was before the wash..it is possible?

Question:how to treat shrinked wool?

Answers:
If it's real wool, there's nothing you can do. Either you washed it in hot water, or the spin cycle was too much for it. The wool has felted, meaning the fibres have matted together.
If it were synthetic you might feasibly be able to stretch it back, since the knitting might simply have tightened up (a friend of mine did this). But if it's wool, you're toast, I'm afraid.
There's a reason woolens say "Hand wash only" and you've just discovered that reason!

dont know, but when i was in tenerife, they were selling something called a magic jumper it was only 3 inches by 3 inches, you put it in the washing machine and it comes out normal size. magic.
I think it's done, I don't know of any way to bring it back, I've lost a couple sweaters myself
I don't think you can. But maybe, if you can get it on you might be able to stretch it with wear - it will never be the same as it was (probably not something you would wear out any more), but it MIGHT get back to a similar size.
either loose three stone give it to your nephew or bin it babes its had its day an exopensive lesson to learn me thinks!
try stretching it while wet, you will need help doing it.
I am afraid it cannot be done as i found out when I washed my hubbys new sweater
