How do I remove mould from my window sill?

Question:I have black mould growing on my window sill and in the shower. The window sill is wooden and it is a rented apartment, so I can't do anything too heavy handed. I have tried cleaning with a toothbrush, but it seems to damage the wood. The mould in the shower is so stubborn! I have scrubbed and scrubbed, but nothing seems to work. It is especially thick in the corners, where it is really difficult to get to.

Answers:
1/4 cup of bleach to 1 gallon of hot water. Scrub and repeat if necessary.

wd 40 or 3 pts borax and 1 part lemon juice.
bleach for the shower, there may be no hope for rotted wood. try putting a coat of polyurathane on it, if youre allowed
i had that problem in shower. just rub bleach on it, don't have to scrub it just leave it for about 30 or 45 minutes and the mold should be gone
Two things. Get some air in that bathroom. It needs to dry out. Mold lives most easily in the dampness.
Second, use vinegar or amonia to clean away the mold. Be sure to have proper ventilation. Either product will neutralize the mold and remove soap scum while you're at it.
Most importantly dry out the wood. It will have to be replaced as once it's started to mold it will begin to rot. You can slow this process with a wood sealant liberally applied but the wood has to be dry first.
The land lord should be told. Some molds are toxic.
Good luck.
Just seen this on " how clean is your house "
2 cups of water
10 drops of tee tree oil
Put in spray bottle
Spray and wipe , job done
Tilex is best

Salt also works if you're on a budget
Any DIY store will sell a propriety brand spray especially for this purpose. Other suggestions are ok, but need elbow grease. Ventilation is the answer as someone suggested.
Whichever of these methods you choose, I would definitely tell your landlord. There's a problem with the sealant in your window, and the mold can make you very sick. Mold spores spread through the air and can get into your lungs. You might want to try a dehumidifier in your bathroom to help get rid of the moisture - which causes mold to grow.
I had that similar problem in my house until I discovered tilex. It can be found in any store that provide cleaning detergents.
I diluted it with a little water (2 parts tilex 1 part water). I sprayed it on then later I wiped it off. Also if there is mold on the walls use the same solution but instead of wiping it off use a brush to scrub it off. This formula has worked for me and I know it will work for you.
All the best and happy cleanings.
PS: I must inform you that mold is an allergen and can cause you to be sick. Inform your landlord before you do such cleaning.
Mould grows in warm, wet conditions so bottom line is change the conditions. More ventilation, More heat to keep environment dry. Is the mould in the shower in the mastic? if so then you will need to cut out the mouldy stuff then clean off the surface with mastic remover and re do. It won't come off the old mastic.
Walmart makes an off brand "Cleaner with bleach" or tilex works well spray that on there and grad a scrub brush and scrub scrub scrub. they have them for less than a $1.00 at the store... tooth brush it to small... Let the chemical soack... They make a mold and mold root killer that works good... mold may stain so you can kill it but the color might be off.
Use bleach diluted in water works everytime
