I found a white stringy mold in a cup that had been setting for a while.?
Question:No clue on how long the cup had been setting or what was in the cup. I found it while I was cleaning my room. I want to know if I am in any harmful situation here.

Just wash the darn cup. Problem solved. The mold most likely came from the remains of the beverage in the cup.
look around your room for the same stuff and if you find it throw it away but not in your inside garbage-the outside 1-
you sould call poison control if its in your carpet or fabrics to see if it is harmful
only if you use it before cleaning it.pour a little bleach in it and let it set for about 5 min.then wash and rinse
