What is best to remove oil stains from clothes ?
Question:
Answers:
I have used 'Dawn' original, mixed with baking soda.
Let it sit a day rolled up, then wash like usual. That did cut my grease stain.
good luck
Soak in Biz overnight using two scoops and use Stain Stick or spray on each stain. This works on all organic stains. Wash with soap the next day and air dry to make sure the stains are gone.
Dawn original blue would be a third choice.
it really depends on what the spots are, stains by definition are really hard to remove and become permanent after a certain amount of time, like a dye.
hand cleaner heavy duty then take dawn grease soap and scrub it in let it set a few then wash
if your talking cooking oil, try soaking it in milk for a couple of hours than washing
Use some "Goop" hand cleaner, found in the automotive section of most stores. It will remove most oil based stains.
I do not know about removing oil from clothes, but DO NOT put any oil laden clothes in dryer, even after washing out, I know someone who washed clothes and dishclothes etc that was used to clean up a cooking oil spill, and once it was in the dryer, it still caught alight and burned down her home. Even after laundering, it is still flammable.
I always use Dawn dish soap.
