I accidently left a tube of petroleum jelly in pocket. Opened in dryer. Lots of stains in clothes. What to do?

Question:I tried washing with Oxyclean in hot water but stains still there. Any suggestions?

Answers:
Apply some Dawn dishsoap to the stain about 20 minutes before you wash it. However, if you dried it already, you have likely set the stain. If this is the case, make a mixture of Dawn and baking soda. Apply it to the stain and let it sit overnight. Then launder as usual.

rewash with a degreaser

Rewash clothes using Dawn dish detergent.

Got after it with mineral spirits, paint thinner, it will dissolve the grease, then pretreating and washing should work.
