What can I use to clean the grime off of my stove top around the burners?
Question:SOS pads are scratching the surface so I need something else.

Steel wool scouring pads can scratch after a while, so I only use the nylon scrubby pads to get off the big stuff.
Mr Clean Magic Erasers are wonderful for this area, but sometimes there are a few burned on spots that don't want to budge. Wet the eraser with some water and use a sprinkle of baking soda as a cleanser. Works like a charm.
To make it shiny, wipe with a paper towel dampened with window cleaner.
Mean Green at WalMart is good and it's cheap!

Walmart sells this stuff called Holy Cow. It's great on everything from stove tops to carpet.
you can use oven cleaner that is for cold ovens on your stove top also. I use easy-off fume free max so it does not stink up the whole house.It works great
GREASED LIGHTING (home depot) this stuff works great! I married a lovely Cajun man who loves grease...and over the edge boiling...this even cleans up his messes. It also works great in showers and tubs.Comet or soft scrub and a soft scrubber sponge. 409 is another good one...let it sit for a bit and then do the scrubber thing.
I have used soda and vinegar, and elbow grease to get my burners clean...saw this on Martha Stewart one time
plus, it doesn't stink too bad and is ok for the environment...
Mr. Clean Magic Erasers will help clean up this areas also.
Dawn has a wonderful product called Power Dissolver.Just spray it on wait about 15 minuets and wipe the mess away.
I use Mr.Clean magic erasers and they work great and won't scratch the surface!
