Question:

I like water mixed with plain old vinegar. Outside I use that with a squeegee and you can't beat cleaning them that way. Inside I usually just use Windex, but vinegar and water is better, wiped off with old newspaper to avoid the dusty residue from paper towel.
No-- but, grab an old newspaper you were going to throw out anyways-- wrinkle it up, and wash your windows that way- honestly works.and no, the black ink doesn't come off. (I heard about this and actually tried it - it works).
pure water works just as good as window cleaner but its at home its cheaper. !! it saves you the trip to the store and the money to buy the product.. I myself use water to clean my windows ans it works just fine or me !! my windows are clean until my kids draw "cute" little pictures when the fog up.
I find the best results is by using warm water , vinegar and news paper, they come up nice & shiney & no streaks
I use three parts water to one part rubbing alcohol and a lot of rubbing.. Works like a charm for stainless stell sinks, bathroom faucets, mirrors, and appliances (not the stove), too..
Best results for window washing depends more on what you wipe with than the solution used. Newspaper will not leave streaks; great when used with combination of vinegar and water. Also can try coffee filters. Never tried plain water, but even commercial window cleaners do better when wiped with newspaper (black & white.)
well I got ( grammatically this is past for I do it no more because I have a heartdesease. Better dirty windows than beeing dead) a steamer. That is an electric device that is heating water to 119 °C and a pressure of 4.5 bar. First I washed my window with a simple domestic cleaner. Then I made it dry with such a window cleaner with a rubber lipp. Then I took my steamer and blew steam on the window and dryed it with the windowcleaner with th rubber lip. You have to clean the rubber-lip now and then. Afterwards I took a newspaper and rubbed the stripes away. That was verry easy for my steamer produced destilled water containing no chalk. Beside the way that works very well with the flagstones in the
bath also.
