Yellowing under the arms of shirts is sweat oxidizing. Here are some things to try.
As a preventative measure pre-spot your shirts with ammonia or Oxy Clean. They will both break down the proteins in the sweat and help stop any staining. Note: Ammonia is cheaper, but it CAN NOT be mixed with bleach, and it's a little toxic. Frequent use can also erode rubber gaskets and hoses in your machine.
If it's too late, there are a few things to try.
Bleach - If it's an all white shirt.
Zout, CLR, Barkeepers Friend, etc - Something that will remove rust and take out the oxidation print.
Baking Soda - Gently scrub the inside of the shirt.
Oxy Clean - Same as the baking soda.
Ammonia - Let it soak overnight.
RIT Clothing Brightener or Whitener - I would use this last, after I tried to remove everything, then I would try to even the color.
If you perspire a lot and that's contributing to the stains you may want to change deodorants/antiperspirants. Drysol and Certain Dry are two products you wear at night and wash off in the morning. It's much less stick residue to rub off on your shirts and cause stains.

GET A TOOTH BRUSH OR SOMETHING AND SCRUB IT REALLY HARD USE THE LAUNDRY DETERGANT USE ALOT OF FABRIC SOFTNER AND DETERGANT

I would also try Zout pretreat.. It's awesome stuff.
if its white, put some bleach on it, let it sit, and then put it in the washing machine. if it's colored, use clorox for colors and do the same thing :)
Soak your shirt in cold water , next you need to buy some good old fashioned soap bar soap. Natural soap. You can buy this in your local hardware store. Once you have soaked the shirt in cold water remove and rub the soap in. Leaving the soap on for 1/2 hr or so, free from water. Back to the cold water give a little rub to the stains, Now remove from water add more soap and pop into your machine on a 40ºc normal wash. Once this has been done , hang your shirt outside in the sun. The sun will do the rest of the work for you , by bleaching out any remaining stains, the natural way
