put a microwave safe glass 3/4 full of water in it and boil it.

For the inside: fill a bowl with water and a couple of fresh lemon slices. Heat on high for 3-5 minutes, and then wipe down interior with a damp cloth or sponge. Works great to get the grease off, and smells fresh too.
