How do i get candle wax off a white wall without messin up the paint??
Question:
Answers:
Freeze it, and it will flake off.
Use ice in a ziploc bag so you don't drip, hold it to the wax until it gets 'crisp' and flake it off.
If the wall is porous, wax may have seeped into the pores, in which case you will have a stain that will bleed through paint. If that happened, get all the wax off the surface, then sand lightly. If it's deeper, you may need to sand more, then use drywall mud, sand again and paint again.
Here's hoping you have semi-gloss paint!
It will probably need to be repainted, the dye stains.
But try using a hair dryer to melt it and wipe it up with a paper towel.
Or you could cover it with a paper bag and a cloth on top of that, and iron it on a low setting moving the bag around to absorb it.
