How do I get the urine smell out of my carpet?
Question:My dog got a bladder infection and had a couple of accidents. I have oxy-cleaned, spray bleached and used carpet cleaner but can still smell her urine...any suggestions besides getting new carpet or paying a cleaning service?

I have found out that ground coffee sprinkled on area and leave it on for a day or two then vacum

If the problem is bad enough, you may need to replace the padding underneath the carpet. You just need to pull the carpet back, check and replace the padding if needed. You can usually buy the padding by the square foot at a hardware store. The urine may have also soaked into the floor boards as well. If so, after you pull the carpet and padding off, clean the boards and allow to completely dry out. It's a lot of work, but you can do it all yourself, and hopefully not have to replace the carpet.
