Homemade Household Cleaners?
Question:Does anyone have simple recipes? Or recommend one sold in stores that isn't made from harsh chemicals? I loooooooove cleaning the house with bleach to completely disinfect everything. But my husband is very sensitive to the odor, and I have a 2 year old son, and a cat. I need something that will get the job done, without irritating anyone, or exposing them.

Better idea -I found the perfect product for this that I've used for years and know dozens of other people that use it. It is a natural carbon product called FRIDGE IT carbon odor absorbers. It is a little purple cube with an incredible activated carbon filter inside that is really, really, great and eliminates the odors and for a long time. It works so much better than baking soda all those sprays, and fragrances that just cover up smells and doesn't get rid of them. Also, alot of sprays have warning statements about being eye irritant. and gels and oils that say keep away from fabric, pets, etc. and just don't eliminate odors. Just hang a couple of these on litter box and also throughout house in problem areas such as trash. Each only costs a couple of dollars. I use this product everywhere including car(smoke and pet smells), storage, closets, my fridge and also under sinks, near trash and have friends that use it on cat litter box and also diaper pails - it's that good. I really recommend it. You can buy it in kitchen gadget sections in stores like walmart and linens and things. I also think camping world sells it and internet. Definitely worth trying
alcohol mixed with water in a spray bottle. I mixed 1/2 and 1/2.
the smell goes away quickly and is a powerful cleaner and disinfectant.
I have friend who has a cleaning business. She mixes baby shampoo with water to clean many things. It worked wonders in my microwave and on the stovetop.
1:1 water and distilled vinegar will do wonders!! It works great as a window and mirror cleaner, sink or faucet cleaning, counter cleaner, and even floors.
