Question:I have a grill with a porcelain cast iron cooking grid. Can this be safetly cleaned with a wire brush?

I just bought the grill and only used it once. All the instructions say, is to use a wire brush that is designed "for you specific grid".

Answers:
I would use a brass not steel brush.

Look up online your brand name of grill & go from there. If you shope at Lowe's or Home Depot, the employees can assist you.
The harshest that I would use, is a Scoth-Brite pad. A standard wire brush will scratch the surface.
A wire brush is very safe. Use oven cleaner on it that cleans it with out scratching it.
