Swiffer carpet sweeper?
Question:has anyone tried this thing? does it work and does it pick up cheerios? Is it worth buying?

I have had this thing for a while and it isn't as good as my Shark. I would suggest getting one of those. They sell them in Target and they are the best, they are around 45$. They go from hard floors to carpet and they pick up EVERYTHING from hair, cherrios, dog food, dust, misc floor things. . I have a 2 year old and a 10 month old as well as a dog, and a husband. I would forego the swifter and go with a Shark.
It works no better than any other kind of carpet sweeper you can find. The main difference is it has a sticky pad that holds onto the stuff and you throw it away, as compared to oldstyle carpet sweepers that you have to empty out into the trash. Either will work just fine, the choice is more of a preference.

I have a swivel sweeper, and I love it so much that I bought one for my mother and sister. I clean houses part time and this thing is a must. You can get them at Walmart, Target and Bed Bath and Beyond.
