How can I get a black stain off a handwash only top? I've tried soaking it in Ariel but to no avail...?

take it to a dry cleaners... they have all sorts of chemicals to get stains out that we can't
it depends on the type of stain. If it's oil/grease, then use dishsoap (like "Dawn").
Depends what kind of stain but try vinegar that very good!

I know you are not supposed to do this, but when I get stains on white tops, I put bleach on it and leave it for ages! Always works though! DONT DO IT IF THE TOP ISNT WHITE TO START WITH!
you need to describe the stain and material properly....
if you have tried soaking it already, and still had no look, would it really hurt to put it in the washing machine, carnt do any more damage, i think... or go to a dry cleaners and see what they can do, or get some rub on vanish, stain remover, hope these work...
try soaking in vinegar or rub some fairy washing up liquid leave overnight then wash
soak in cold water,add a small amount of Fairy Liquid & rub in with your finger´s Then rinse in cold water, before washing as normal
Try soaking it in Bio Tex i think its brilliant it got old lipstick out of my hand wash jumper after everything else had failed
Good old Napisan or any oxy action nappy soaker.Good luck.
