Can you steamclean your carpets to much??

Question:just wondering, i do at least once a week...

Answers:
that is overkill. All that steam every a week needs time to dry. doing it continuously would cause damage to the padding underneath and possibly to the floorboards.

keeping the carpet constantly wet can cause moisture problems.

try to do it like once every couple of months. that is really all that needs to be done.

I am not sure but I don't think so. If its a good quality carpet, it will keep it clean and refreshed feel to it. I do mine atleast once a month.
YES! The water soaks the padding underneath and can deteriorate it. You are encouraging mold growth as well. You should only steam clean at most a few times a year.
is it really necessary to do that every week if so then you should get new carpet because it is dirt coming fro underneath to the surface and if that is the case you can steam daily but will still have a dirty carpet and wet floor boards just vac every day if it is just you wanting to know the house is clean I vac every day and steam at most 3 times a year I always use a carpet rake after steaming and that helps keep it looking nice also I use a big blower like fan to dry it
That is too much. Twice a year is plenty.
