Get my white clothes back to its original colour?
Question:A lot of my white clothes have turned pinkish due to a red sweater being washed together with the white clothes...I tried to bleach them so it turn white again but it doesn't really work...Any ideas?

Rit and Carbona both make color run removers that you can buy at fabric stores. They will remove the excess dye from your garments and then just re-wash them after treating them with the color run removers. Reds really need to be washed separately and a hint is to add a cup of vinegar in the rinse water of dark colors to set the dye, keep them from fading, and bleeding on other garments.
Bleach won't do it. Oxy will
There are some great products that I have used that worked great for this problem. Go to a store that sells your laundry detergents and other related items near it. There is a product that is where the fabric dyes are in a rack called "Rit Dyes". You should find a dye remover here. If they do not have this, A product that I use most often is by the brand name of Carbona, called Stain Devils. They have removers for most everything and they really work! They are small 1.75 oz yellow bottles in the laundry/cleaning isles. I found these at Wal-Mart. There is also a product you put in your wash called "shout" color catcher. Just put it in the wash to "catch loose colors. Bleach doesn't work itself into the folds of clothes but these do. Good Luck!:>)
Here is a trick I use which I got from a nurse who used it to keep her uniforms sparkling white. Soak the clothing in a bucket or sink filled with HOT water and 1/2 cup of powdered dishwasher detergent. Let it soak overnight. In the morning wash the clothing as usual. It works amazingly well on synthetic fabrics that have grayed or yellowed.
140F wash water
1 cup of chlorine bleach in the wash
1/2 cup of borax in the wash
1 cup of white vinegar in the rinse
