Feces smell question - part II?
Question:I already asked about getting feces out of the carpet, and most people recommended "Nature's Miracle", so I bought some of that, and it did work really well, though I used almost all the bottle that I bought. However, it's been almost a week, and my apartment still smells. You get a whiff of it when you first walk in, and then you sort of get used to it, but every once in a while I get a whiff again, and of course again first thing when I wake up in the morning. The spots in the carpet only really smell if you put your nose directly on them, so I think they're as good as they're going to get. But the smell in the air, what can I do about it? It's getting to where I wouldn't feel comfortable having anyone over, and I really don't want this to keep lingering, and when I move out to have this affect my deposit. What else can I do? Do I have to get more of "Nature's Miracle" and keep working on the spots, or is there something else I can do?? Help!!

Go get a large bottle of natural odor eater---Vinegar.Spray the room and furniture litely.Turn on a fan to dry rapidly and the smell will be gone.Spray right on top of the odor spot and let dry.When vinegar smell leaves so does the odor.It will work and a gallon is about 2 bucks,what you have to loose?
I know this sounds weird but it worked for me: Windex cleaner or 3 tblsp ammonia to 1 liter of water in a spray or squirt bottle. Put it on the stains and work with rag or scrub brush. It will not discolor the carpet and you will get the smell out of carpet and the pad.
you may have to get the carpet steam cleaned to completely be free of any smell...which may seem an expensive option but the only one that will give complete peace of mind...
see if any local carpet cleaning companies have a special or borrow a steam cleaner from a friend and use it with some Mr. Clean or the cleaner that comes with it...
or rent the one from the grocery store...get big fans to dry it quicker so it doesn't smell in the summer heat...good luck!
natures miracle says to give it three weeks to compleatly work. that is when it is really dry pad and all and the enzines have startd to work. I got more of the chemical but that was only because a visiting dog deposited more on my carpet, I've decided to move
