How do you get deorderant stains outta t-shirts?
Question:What can i use to make the stains go away or atleast make them less visible..my husband always get deorderant on this good work shirts.
Answers:
spray them with white vinegar and wash. If that doesn't get them bleach the crap out of them.
50% vinegar and water solution in a cheap spray bottle. Then wash in warm water with a good detergent...tide works best .
bleach or wash them byu hand inn that area then wash it
1/2 Vinegar to 1/2 Water
If that doesn't work
then try Biz Boil. get some Biz, put about 1/4 cup in a gallon of boiling water
Spead that on the stains
Mix equal parts of ammonia and laundry detergent and pour it onto the stains. Allow it to soak for 30 minutes, then scrub it with an old toothbrush or scrub brush, and toss it into the wash. Wash them in the washer with the hottest water that is safe for the fabric along with a good laundry detergent.
If it doesn't work, do not put the shirts into the dryer yet. Try the process again, soak stains in ammonia/detergent, scrub the stains and wash them. If after two rounds of this, the stains have not budged, I would apply Clorox 2 color safe bleach. Let it stand for just 5 minutes, scrub it with your scrub brush then wash it with some good detergent. If the Clorox 2 doesn't get the stains out, you'll have to buy new shirts.
I round up my husbands dress shirts and do the ammonia and detergent routine once a month. He's super tall/thin and those dress shirts cost a fortune, so I try to keep the deodorant stains from building up.
Best of luck to you. Take care.
