How do you remove dye from fabric I had a yellow cotton shirt bleed onto other fabric in the wash?


Question:How do you remove dye from fabric - I have a yellow shirt bleed onto other fabric in the wash, specially my polo blue tshirt now turn into green and my pint blouse turn yellowish pink.But the mistake i did was i washed them again and dry them, is there any way to get fix, pls let me know..Thanks

If you would've stopped the first time when you pulled them out of the washer before you rewashed and worst of all you dried them, you might have been able to restore them but since you did not, you are stuck with the outcome. I bet you will read the tags and check for ''colorfast'' dyes in your clothing or wash those articles that are not ''colorfast'' by themselves now.Sorry to hear you made such a mistake,I hope no expensive clothing was ruined.


no, there is no way to fix this, i'm sorry to say. dye is permanent and you can't bleach them. sorry.
