CLR, I've always used and it's the best, when u spray it let it sit for a few min. then clean.
vinegar works best
CLR is a wonderful product, but I have found that if the calcium stains are thick, something else is needed.Walmart makes a "block sander" that comes in a fine/medium block.it is in the sandpaper area and is a small black (or dark gray) block. This has worked better for me than the pumice stone. My husband and I travel for a living and I have had to stay in many unkempt rentals and I cant stand the toilet rings and buildup in the sinks. Of course, as with any abrasive, be very careful.this block does NOT work on the faucets, it scratches, but on the porcelain and fiberglass tubs and sinks...I have found nothing better...I have used it on glass with wonderful results..make sure you use the fine side and small areas until you see that it is not leaving scratches.good luck.
Lime Away for periodic deep cleaning, and "The Works" spray bathroom cleaner for weekly cleaning. Let the Lime Away sit for a few minutes then scrub. Wear gloves and make sure to ventilate the room.
I just bought my house a few months back. The toilet was gross. It had alot of hard water stains and other stains. I then looked it up on the net and guess what it said to use a PUMICE STONE! It really does work and didn't scratch the toilet. Also Tilex works awesome be careful though there is some bleack in it.
A brand called "The Works" is good.
I use CLR and it works grate.
