How do you get gum off leather shoes?

Question:Gum dropped on the TOP of my leather shoes. How do I get it off without ruining my shoes?

Answers:
put the shoe in a sealed plastic bag so it gets no water on it and place the shoe in the freezer over night, the gum can easily be picked off the next morning, good luck

rub ice on it until it freezes and then pick it off. Do this only if the leather won't discolor from the water. If you want to be certain you won't ruin the leather, take it to shoe repair shop they can fix it in a second.
