What is the best way to get blood stains out of clothing?
Question:
Answers:
just bury the body already - I know its a designer shirt but you should have though of that before you killed her - stop being so cheap!
Well, I think two cold water washes with OXI clean, and then one with regular detergent usually work for me. I am the mother of a med-serg. nurse, that I wish would get married!
You must not wash the bloodied clothes in anything to start off with.
Cold Water only.
First, rub & soak the clothes in cold water. Anything else will set the blood & you will have a stain.
When you use the cold water just watch how the blood just rinses out.
When satisfied with it then do a normal wash.
Try "Simple Solution" from your local pet store. It has active enzymes that eat away at the stain. You have to soak it for days and watch it go away.
cold water to start with...then pre-treat with Original Zout.used to purchase it at the local uniform shop before it was available on the regular market. works well for other stains too
I have found inexpensive shampoo, and cold water to be the best, and easiest. When the blood is fresh, rinse in cold water. Then, squirt some shampoo on it, and gently rub it to lather. Rinse. Repeat. It might take a few repetitions, but works, and is gentle on the clothes.
The nurses all use hydrogen peroxide to get blood stains out of their uniforms. Good luck.
peroxide
Start with soaking them in cold water. Do not wash them in warm, wash them in cold as well. If they are bleach safe whites, use bleach, or use something like clorox 2 for colors. You might want to use spary and wash or shout as well, depending on how long the staind has been there, and if soaking in cold water helped really well or not.
Peroxide, it is best to do when the cloth is first soiled then rise under water to get most of it out then pour on some peroxide let it sit for a few minutes then then rinse out.
Trash the evidence and hide the body quickly.
Peroxide works sometimes, OXY clean works sometimes.
Just trash it and replace... clothes are cheap now that we get it all made in china or india.
hydrogen peroxide. apply directly to stain...it will start to bubble. If it's a bad stain do this a couple of time before you wash it. If it's a small amount of blood one time should do it, but wash in COLD water. Hot water will set the stain. If it doesn't come out in the first wash do it again. Don't dry it in the dryer until it's out or the stain will set.
Hydrogen Peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide gets blood stains out of colothing even if it's an old blood stain.
Try this. soak it overnite with coke or pepsi. after the next day, rinse the brownish coke stain with your normal washing liquid. Its cheaper than hydrogen peroxide. You can even remove rust stains with this drink. Safe on the body too.
Soak them in cold water with salt, it works every time.
