Every room in my house there is a swarm of gnats! What could be the cause and how do I get rid of my pest?

all of these are great answers, but it really sounds like knats.1st check your fruits cause that's their food source, then make sure theres no dirty dishes in the sink cause they like to hang around that stuff, then pour a little bleach down the sink drain cause they nest in the pipes or you will never totally get rid of them...
If it is a swarm it doesn't sound like gnats. It sounds like termites. Call a pest control company asap and get them to help you.

Check your vegetables.They might be getting too ripe.Your fruit too. That causes those little fruit flys.If you keep potatoes in a bowl, or drawer, check those.One might have fallen behind something. You can buy a no-pest strip and hang it up to rid your house from them.Bye

Clean the rooms of rotten food,invest in a zapper,or insect sonic repellant,or buy an insect eating lizard
Clean up every once in a while.
