Does Sear's really run water through their new washing machines before selling them?

Question:

Answers:
Yes they sure do, but Sears doesnt do it, the actual manufacturer does to check for leaks and pump function before they send them out. They typically only run about 5-7 gallons through though just to see if things work the way they are supposed to. Sears doesnt have any of their own appliances, even the ones with the Kenmore name on them, they are built by another manufacturer and just put the kenmore name on them.

Call and ask them. I assume that at least the manufacturer checks them with water before shipping. That's why the box has a "this end up" marking on it. You shouldn't tip it. I don't think anything was hurt, hook it up and if it doesn't work or it leaks, call Sears for assistance.
My husband is a machanic at Sears and he said he belives that they do run wather through their new washing machines before selling them. But, he did say that if they are in a box when you get the machine that they might not have put wather thought it.
