What's the best way to remove furniture indentations from a carpet?
Question:Trying to sell the place, and it would definitely look nicer without these indentations. Furniture was sitting in these spots for quite a while.
Answers:
In the past I have place ice cubes in the indentations.it tends to soften up the dents and alot of times brings back the carpet...but also depends on how long something was pressing down on the carpet...if it was over a couple years, sorry to say you might be stuck with the dents... good luck
have you tried shampooing the carpet?
Take an ice cube and put it in the indentation. As it melts and the carpet dries the fibers will pop back up.
What's with the ice cubes is that it works in many cases. I have moved about half a dozen times.
Moving the furniture isn't the solution when you are moving out of the house. (rolling eyes)
He's trying to make it look nice for selling not necessarily a permanent solution.
Take a fork and lightly brush/scratch the area. It helps pull the carpet back up.
lmfao.. Whats with the ice cubes??
Just move your furniture from time to time
<<shaking his head at these answers, did anyone ever stop to think, the pad is dented also? sorry, but all the home remedy's might work for a bit, but the pad is most likely crushed and carpet will just go back down since no support under it.
