~ I do put on music, but I also use a timer.
its a game I play with myself when I don't feel like doing house work. I put the timer on for 15 min per chore. and work as fast as I can. It sucks if I can't beat the timer, but at least I get SOMETHING done lol
I can do my whole house in 45 min. now,and that includes vacuuming! ~ hope this helps

Playing music's good. Having an extra set of hands helps, too. Also, clean as you go, and the job won't be so difficult when you do weekly cleaning/monthly cleaning.

I have a friend that comes over twice a month, I make her a list and myself one for things that need to be done we chat the whole time and when done I make us a bite to eat and hand her 30 bucks..it works for us
be positive dont be like" aaaah i have to do all this its so messy aaarrrgggghh!" . also turn on music and make it fun yourself theres different ways we can make it fun but you have to choose your own way like i have my way.

I try music of course. I don't touch my phone or the computer. I try to "get rid" of my wife and kids. Another way is to do your house in sections on a daily basis and maintain from there on out.
I agree, get ya music on nice and loud and have a good bop around with the hoover and duster, the housework is done in no time
music!! i love it...or if u have an imagination let it run...plan something fun and time will fly. lol i used to imagine i was a maid in a castle with eviel step sisters and the prince would come and take me away after i was finsihed. :D another way is to make work into exercise. like when picking up toys, do toe touches. think it as a two in one kinda deal.
